The Dana Adobe is the oldest home in San Luis Obispo County and a registered historical site. This video follows the beginnings of the Adobe from its inception over 200 years ago by Captain William Dana to present day. Explore the rich history of this California landmark, as narrated by actress and producer Virginia Madsen.

HOURS & ADMISSION

The Cultural Center and Permanent Exhibit are both open daily from 11:00am to 3:00pm and are priced with admission. DANA Members receive complimentary admission. Availability is subject to holidays and special events.

Weekend Adobe tours are available without appointment from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
$10 for adults and $5 for Children 6-17. Children under 6 are free.

Private Tours of the Adobe are available by appointment weekdays from 10:00am until 3:30pm for $10 per person. Private Tours should be booked at least 48 hours in advance and payment is due upon booking.

Self-Guided Rancho Tours are $8 per person, which exclude entry into the Dana Adobe. The Self-Guided Tours are available weekdays from 10am until 4pm and weekends from 11am until 3 pm.
