Do you relish the taste of S’mores roasted over an open fire? Or how about watching the sun go down as you hear stories about the animals that once lived here? If you do, don’t miss DANA’s family campfire on Friday, August 17th. Featuring Native American animal stories and an opportunity to toast marshmallows over an open fire.

Make sure to bring your teddy bear along! Because this Friday, the featured animal is the bear. After the animal stories, everyone present can make S’mores and then enjoy a night hike down to the creek and back. Participants will meet at the DANA Visitor Center at 6:30 PM. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be available for purchase for $3.50.

Please wear proper clothing for outdoor activities, bring a chair, and a flashlight. The campfire is free for DANA members or $5 for non-members. For more information, call the DANA office at (805) 929-5679.
