You’ve read the Blond Ranchero or other stories on the Rancho Nipomo, but did you ever get the stories of the women of the family? Yes, you may have heard the romantic & tragic story of Maria Josefa Dana Tefft but what about her younger sister Adelina Elisa Dana. What was her life like?
Our DANA librarian and researcher Colleen M. Beck has been gathering information on Adelina’s life and times. She will present a talk, Tia Adelina: Daughter of the Rancho, on Sunday February 16th at 1:00 pm at the Dana Adobe Cultural Center.
“With no letters or diaries it is amazing the information I was able to find about Adelina, her life and times within the larger Dana family and in the Nipomo community. She is a bit of a mystery but it was fun finding bits of scattered information on her,” reported Colleen. “Come and see what I was able to find out!”
